About

553451416Therapy is about teamwork!

Coming to therapy can feel intimidating and scary at first. After all, you share your life story and most profound thoughts and emotions with a stranger.

Then, there is the actual connection with your therapist that you must work to build. Only then will you find that comfortable place, allowing you to speak the truth about how you feel.

I want to provide that comfortable, secure, and safe place for you to speak your truth. I understand and honor the importance of your time; it is precious. I want our time to focus entirely on your needs and the goals you want to accomplish.

We will work as a team to achieve your goals and help you find your joy again. We will find solutions and allow you to share yourself to gain self-awareness.

What does it feel like to be a client in my practice?

I created my office space just for you. I hope anyone who enters the therapy room feels comfort and warmth.

My approach uses many different therapeutic tools to cater to a unique plan that fits your needs and wants for therapy. We do this together so that you have ownership of your goals geared toward your highest mental well-being.

Respect and integrity are a must when you are in my therapy room. You deserve to tell your story and work through your issues with a therapist who is willing to show up for you and be fully present.

About Me

HeadshotsWho am I?

A warm hello to you! My name is Rachna Garg, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I am finishing my Ph.D. in International Psychology, which will allow me to work with diverse people from different backgrounds and experiences.

When I was ten, I migrated from India with my dad. Although raised in Southern California, I live in the Northern California Bay Area. Being an immigrant child, I struggled for a long time with my own identity, trying to figure out where I belonged. My life journey consisted of moments where I felt disconnected and alone. Finding proper therapy helped me get through my trauma and pain. The baggage we carry, so heavy on our shoulders, can be lightened with the appropriate support.

The day I decided to become a therapist, it was as if my eyes opened up for the first time, and I saw my path in life. I knew that I wanted to help women find their joy again. I do my best to suit up and show up for you every session.

In my free time,

I enjoy spending time with my sweet teacup yorkie, who brings sunshine to my life each day.

I like to take walks and read for pleasure. Traveling is my other passion. Whenever I can, I love to get out of my environment and into a new one, enjoying exploring and eating my way through different cities. I love the ocean and feel at peace when my feet touch the sand.
